How to become a member of
North Fort Worth Baptist Church

Interested in joining and becoming a member at NFWBC? The decision to join and become part of a family of believers is a process. We are available to help you discover God’s will through prayer support and biblical guidance. Below, you will find information on how you can be “connected” with our church family by membership. Feel free to contact one of our ministers if you have any questions. We are excited that you are interested in joining and look forward to seeing how God leads you as you seek Him.

A person may join North Fort Worth Baptist Church in one of the following ways:

Professing Personal Faith in Christ/Baptism

Trusting in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin and making Him Lord of your life. Baptism by immersion is the first step of obedience for a new believer. Baptism is a “picture” of the end of your “old life” and the beginning of your “new life” in Christ. (Rom. 6:34)

Statement of Faith in Christ

If you’re already a believer and have been baptized by immersion, you may become a member by a “statement of your faith.” Any questions you have about your personal relationship with Christ or baptism can be answered by a staff member. They are available to meet with you before or after each service.

Transferred Church Membership

If you’re currently a member of another Baptist church, arrangements can be made to have your membership transferred to NFWBC.

New Member Classes

The new member class is for adults and students who have decided to make NFWBC their church family. This one-time series of three classes examines the mission of our church, clarifies our doctrinal beliefs, provides an opportunity to get to know staff members, and helps new members discover how they can “connect” to church life and ministries. Attending this class is not required but highly suggested. If you would like more information regarding New Member Classes at NFWBC, contact at David White at 817.232.8210 ext. 110.

New members classes, for adults and students, meet once a quarter. The classes are designed to be attended one time only. The next New Member’s Class will begin on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

Childhood Profession of Faith

Once children have made a profession of faith, we recommend that they take some time to understand and explore the meaning of that decision. We encourage parents to help their children work through the I'm a Christian Now! workbook, which is designed to help children celebrate their decision and learn how to be in a personal relationship with Christ. Workbooks can be picked up from Heather Hawkins, Children's Minister at NFWBC.
